Outpeak Ski School

General Terms & Conditions

General Terms & Conditions

By making a booking with Outpeak Ski School, you agree to the following General Terms & Conditions and our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

1. Bookings & Confirmation

  • All bookings are subject to availability.
  • A booking becomes confirmed once the customer receives a booking confirmation from Outpeak Ski School.
  • Customers are responsible for providing accurate booking details, including dates, participant numbers, ages, skiing abilities and contact information.
  • Any changes to a booking must be requested through Outpeak Ski School.
  • Special requests regarding instructors, languages or group arrangements are subject to availability and cannot always be guaranteed.

2. Prices & Payments

  • All prices are displayed in the applicable currency and include legally required taxes unless otherwise stated.
  • Full payment may be required at the time of booking.
  • Lift passes, equipment rental, transport, meals and other additional services are not included unless explicitly stated in the booking.
  • Any additional services requested during the lesson may result in additional charges, subject to the customer's agreement.

3. Lessons & Participation

  • Participants must arrive at the designated meeting point on time and with suitable equipment.
  • Participants must wear appropriate clothing and equipment for the prevailing mountain conditions.
  • Helmets are strongly recommended for all participants and may be mandatory for children or particular activities under local rules.
  • Participants must follow the safety instructions provided by their instructor.
  • Outpeak Ski School reserves the right to adjust group arrangements, instructors, meeting points or lesson locations when reasonably necessary.
  • Lesson arrangements may be adjusted according to weather, snow conditions, participant ability and safety requirements.

4. Late Arrival & No-Shows

  • Customers are responsible for arriving at the agreed meeting point on time.
  • Late arrival does not automatically extend the scheduled lesson.
  • Missed lesson time resulting from the customer's late arrival is non-refundable.
  • Failure to attend a confirmed lesson without prior cancellation will be considered a no-show, and no refund will be issued, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

5. Weather Conditions & Lift Closures

Skiing and snowboarding are outdoor activities influenced by changing weather and mountain conditions.

  • Lessons generally take place in varying weather conditions, including snow, wind, rain and cold temperatures, provided it is safe and reasonably possible to conduct them.
  • Unfavourable weather alone does not entitle customers to a refund if the booked lesson can still be safely delivered.
  • In the event of partial lift closures or restricted slope access, Outpeak Ski School may adapt the lesson location, route or teaching content.
  • If the entire ski resort or the relevant teaching area is closed and the lesson cannot reasonably be provided, Outpeak Ski School will offer an alternative date or an appropriate refund for the services not delivered.
  • If a lesson is interrupted due to safety-related closures, any refund will reflect the portion of the booked service that could not be delivered, subject to applicable law.
  • Outpeak Ski School is not responsible for the operation of ski lifts or separate lift-pass refund decisions made by the lift operator.

6. Health, Safety & Personal Responsibility

  • Skiing and snowboarding involve inherent risks, including falls, collisions and injuries.
  • Participants must disclose any relevant health conditions, injuries or limitations that could affect their ability to participate safely.
  • Participants must follow the instructions of their instructor and comply with local mountain safety regulations.
  • Outpeak Ski School may refuse or discontinue participation where a participant presents a serious safety risk to themselves or others.
  • Customers are strongly encouraged to maintain appropriate accident, medical and travel insurance that covers winter sports.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability arising from negligence where applicable law provides protection.

7. Children & Minors

  • Parents or legal guardians are responsible for providing accurate information about participating children.
  • Children must be brought to and collected from the designated meeting point at the agreed times.
  • Parents or guardians must remain reachable using the contact information supplied during booking.
  • Children must have appropriate clothing and equipment for the lesson.
  • Any specific supervision, lunch or childcare arrangements must be expressly included in the booking.
  • Children may only be released to a parent, guardian or another person authorised in accordance with the ski school's procedures.

8. Group Lessons

  • Group placements are based on age, ability and operational requirements.
  • Outpeak Ski School may reorganise groups or change instructors to maintain appropriate teaching and safety standards.
  • If a group cannot operate as advertised, customers will be offered a reasonable equivalent arrangement or an appropriate remedy, including a refund where required.
  • A particular instructor cannot be guaranteed unless expressly agreed.

9. Equipment & Lift Passes

  • Participants are responsible for obtaining suitable equipment and valid lift passes unless these are expressly included in the booking.
  • Outpeak Ski School is not responsible for additional expenses caused by unsuitable equipment or missing lift passes.
  • Equipment supplied by third-party rental providers is subject to their applicable terms.

10. Changes & Cancellations

All customer cancellations, booking amendments, illness-related requests and refunds are governed by the Cancellation & Refund Policy below.

11. Complaints & Customer Service

If a customer experiences an issue during a lesson, we encourage them to contact Outpeak Ski School as soon as reasonably possible so that we have an opportunity to resolve it.

Complaints may also be submitted after the lesson through our official customer service channels.

12. Applicable Law & Contracting Entity

The contracting legal entity, applicable law and any mandatory local consumer protections depend on the destination at which the ski school services are provided and will be identified in the booking information.

Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights under applicable law.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

At Outpeak Ski School, we understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to provide flexibility for customers while allowing us to manage instructor availability and maintain high-quality lessons.

1. Customer Cancellations

For standard private and group lesson bookings, the following cancellation conditions apply:

Cancellation noticeRefund
More than 5 days before the scheduled lesson100% refund
Between 3 and 5 days before the scheduled lesson50% refund
Between 24 and 72 hours before the scheduled lessonNo refund. Rescheduling permitted subject to availability
Less than 24 hours before the scheduled lessonNo refund
No-showNo refund

Cancellation notice is calculated from the scheduled lesson start time in the local time zone of the ski resort.

For bookings covering multiple lesson days, any special package cancellation conditions will be clearly communicated before booking. Otherwise, each scheduled lesson will be assessed under the cancellation rules above.

2. Booking Changes & Rescheduling

  • Customers may request a change of date or time free of charge more than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson.
  • All changes are subject to instructor availability.
  • Requests made less than 24 hours before the lesson may be declined or subject to the applicable cancellation conditions.
  • A booking cannot be rescheduled after the scheduled lesson has started unless Outpeak Ski School agrees or applicable law requires otherwise.

3. Illness or Injury

If a participant is unable to attend due to illness or injury, the customer should contact Outpeak Ski School as soon as possible.

A medical certificate may be requested.

Outpeak Ski School may, at its discretion, offer a rescheduled lesson, credit or partial refund where appropriate. This does not affect any statutory rights the customer may have.

We recommend obtaining travel insurance that covers cancellation due to illness or injury.

4. Bad Weather

Lessons generally operate in different weather conditions, including snowfall, rain, wind and cold temperatures.

If the ski resort remains operational and Outpeak Ski School can safely provide the lesson, standard cancellation conditions apply even if the customer decides not to participate because of the weather.

Safety decisions are made by Outpeak Ski School and the relevant resort authorities.

5. Full Resort Closure

If a ski resort or the necessary teaching facilities close due to severe weather, avalanche risk, safety restrictions or official decisions, and Outpeak Ski School cannot reasonably deliver the booked lesson:

  • We will first try to offer a suitable alternative lesson date or arrangement.
  • If no suitable alternative can be agreed, the customer will receive a refund for the service that cannot be delivered.
  • If part of the lesson has already been delivered, the refund will reflect the undelivered portion, subject to applicable law.

Customers will not be required to accept a voucher instead of a monetary refund where they are legally entitled to that refund.

6. Partial Lift Closures

If only certain lifts or slopes are unavailable, lessons may continue in an alternative suitable area.

A partial lift closure does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund if the contracted service can still reasonably and safely be provided.

Where a substantial part of the booked service cannot be delivered, Outpeak Ski School will provide an appropriate remedy under applicable law.

7. Cancellation by Outpeak Ski School

If Outpeak Ski School cancels a lesson because of instructor unavailability, operational issues or other circumstances within our control, customers will be offered:

  • A suitable replacement lesson, subject to agreement; or
  • A full refund for the cancelled lesson.

If the lesson is cancelled after it has begun, any refund will be assessed according to the service delivered and applicable consumer law.

8. Late Arrival & Missed Lessons

Customers who arrive late are not entitled to an extension of their scheduled lesson or a refund for missed time caused by their delay.

No-shows are non-refundable unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.

9. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will normally be issued to the original payment method.

Refund processing times may vary depending on the payment provider and financial institution.

10. Statutory Withdrawal Rights

Where permitted by applicable law, ski and snowboard lessons booked for a specific date or period may be exempt from the standard 14-day withdrawal right that otherwise applies to certain distance contracts.

The cancellation conditions outlined above apply where this exemption is legally applicable. Nothing in this policy removes any mandatory statutory cancellation or refund rights.

11. Contact

For cancellations, amendments or refund requests, please contact Outpeak Ski School through the official contact details stated in your booking confirmation.

Please include your booking reference, the participant's name and the scheduled lesson date.
